COMT (Certification in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy)

This certification is a distinction given to Manual/Manipulative Physical Therapists around the world who have completed post-graduate specialization in the field of neuro-musculo-skeletal disorders. The specialization includes "hands-on" techniques used to evaluate and treat muscle, fascia, nerve, and joint pathologies.

The COMT (Certified Orthopedic Manipulative Therapist) distinction is awarded to therapists who have completed advanced education in areas of assessment and hands on treatment. Therapists complete this training who wish to significantly enhance their manual therapy skills for soft tissue work, joint mobilization and joint manipulations, along with evidenced-based critical decision making to improve their clinical practice.

Therapists learn how manual therapy hands on interventions will reduce patient symptoms and impairments getting the patients moving fast. The uniqueness of the Certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT) program lies in the combination of the advanced, hands-on training, and the dedication of our physical therapists to patient success and the health of our patients.
